Matorral Beach

Matorral Beach

Matorral Beach, also known as Playa de Jandia, is a protected natural area. It is a joyous nudist beach with a very important and peculiar coastal ecosystem. It consists of a vegetation zone in a part of the beach, full of thickets, where the water comes swamping during high tide. It’s a wonderful Spanish beach of fine white sand that is approximately 12 kilometres long and 300 metres wide.
The prevailing wind, just as on this whole area of the island, is favourable for practices such as windsurfing, for which there are several schools and places to hire boards. Diving can be practiced in two bounded areas: The Veril Grande, on the stretch of coastline overlooking the lighthouse of Morro Jable, and the Veril Chico, about 200 metres away.
Highlights: The sunset is especially recommended for its beauty and great diversity of colours.
Throughout the entire length of this amazing beach there are bars and restaurants where you can have something to eat and drink.
Services available: toilets, showers, restaurants, bars, parking, board rental, lifeguard team, hammock rental, bus stop, and cleaning service.
We recommend this Spanish beach for diving and wind lovers, and also if you want to feel peace in direct contact with nature.
