Las Canteras Beach

Las Canteras Beach

The astonishing beach of Las Canteras is the main urban beach in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is approximately 3,000 metres long and 50 metres wide. Visited throughout the year, it’s a favourite beach among city dwellers and foreigners alike. It’s a great place to visit all year round, because of its mild climate.
Highlights: Las Canteras Beach carries the mark of the Q Mark for Tourist Quality, as well as holding the European Union’s Blue Flag award, making it one of the top rated beaches in Spain. It’s a large marine reserve, home to thousands of species.
One special feature is a large rock formation that extends not far from the sand, protecting the beach from the tides. Thanks to this, the bay is the perfect beach for swimming, and allows bathers to walk on water at low tide.
Services available: showers, toilets, restaurants, sports area, children’s playground, parking, lifeguard and cleaning service, and Wi-Fi. There is disabled access.
We recommend this Spanish beach for taking relaxing walks and for its Q Mark for Tourist Quality.
