Gran Tarajal Beach

Gran Tarajal Beach

The uniqueness of this legendary beach is that it is one of the few black sand beaches on Fuerteventura Island. It’s usually not very crowded, since it is only usually frequented by fishermen and townspeople. This beautiful urban beach has been awarded with a Blue Flag.
Surrounded by mountains, its waters are calm, and anyone can bathe here with confidence. It is approximately 550 metres long and 60 metres wide. Throughout its entire length there is a promenade, which provides all amenities.
Highlights: The Deep Sea Fishing Championship takes place in the month of September each year on this interesting beach. So it’s easy to find hundreds of fishing boats gathered on these special dates, ready to catch large fish such as tuna or swordfish.
Services available: Showers, toilets, restaurants, sports area, children’s playground, parking, lifeguard and cleaning service. It has disabled access.
We recommend this special Spanish beach for spending a tranquil day with the family and children. It offers a great variety of services.
