Gerra Beach

Gerra Beach

This lustrous Spanish beach is located in the municipality of San Vicente de la Barquera, 4 kilometres from the town. This Spanish beach has fine golden sand and very blue and clear waters. It’s approximately 900 metres long and 20 metres wide. It’s secluded, with no buildings nearby, and it’s accessible by a narrow road from the neighbourhood of Oyambre.
Its width varies depending on the tides, and becomes creekred at high tide, due to its low slope. It’s limited at the back by high walls, rocky north and other softer materials where you can see the erosion of rain and stones at its base.
Highlights: It’s highly frequented by surfers, due to its strong waves and winds. You can enjoy surfing, swimming, picnicking with family or friends, or simply walking.
Services available: Restaurants, hotels, car parking and surf schools, cleaning, and vigilance service.
We recommend it for surfers, for anyone who wants to enjoy a great family day out, and for those who appreciate an unspoilt natural setting.
