Berria Beach

Berria Beach

This semi urban Spanish beach is 1 mile long and 150 metres wide (2 kilometres long and 150 metres wide) approximately. A beach of fine golden sand and awarded with a Blue Flag, it’s located in the Municipality of Santoña. It has a low occupancy level out of season, and a medium-high level in high season. Offshore winds are from the south. It’s surfable in an onshore breeze, and the best swell direction is from the north northwest. Waves break on both the left and right sides. The quality of the surf isn’t affected by the tide, but it could be full of people when it’s good.
Highlights: Safe Spanish beach, especially suitable for walking on as a couple or with children. It’s ideal for photography lovers due to its unique setting. Perfect for bathing at the beginning of the day. This is the best time, because of the scarcity of people and the usually calm wind during these hours.
Services available: restaurants & hotels, camping sites, parking, and disabled access.
We recommend this Spanish beach especially for surf and photography lovers, and also for couples and families with children.
