Tarifa Beach

Tarifa Beach

Tarifa Beaches are a favourite among surfers of every stripe. These Spanish beaches are one of the best surf, windsurf, and kite surf paradises. Seven beaches in particular have caught our eye: Chica Beach, Los Lances South Beach, Los Lances North Beach, Valdevaqueros Beach, Punta Paloma Beach, Bolonia Beach, and Cañuelo Beach.
All these beaches are located in the municipality of Tarifa, facing the Moroccan city of Tangier. They’re amazing beaches, very popular among locals. Some are nudist beaches, others Blue Flag beaches, quiet beaches, or beaches for partying, but they all have one thing in common: it’s always windy.
Located in natural settings, these fantastic white sand beaches with crystal clear water will win everyone over from the beginning. As well as their incredible calm, some beaches have impressive, constantly-changing dunes. Near Bolonia Beach are the ruins of the ancient Roman city of Baelo Claudia, which were excavated in the seventies, and are in excellent condition. We especially recommend enjoying the sunset from one of the bars on this romantic bay. La Chica Beach tends to end up as many people’s favourite beach.
Highlights: Dunes made famous on TV commercials can be found on Valdevaqueros Beach. Los Lances Beach (North and South) is a long and outstandingly beautiful beach that’s well worth a visit. On Cañuelo beach, take a look at the eroded rocks popularly known as Las marmitas de gigante (Giant’s pots and pans).
Services available: snack bars, restaurants, hotels and hostels, parking, surf rental, windsurf rental, kite surf rental, and surf, windsurf and kitesurf schools.
We recommend going to this Spanish beaches, particularly for surf lovers.
