La Turqueta Beach

La Turqueta Beach

The crystal clear, turquoise-colour waters give their name to this spectacular beach. It’s a Spanish beach with calm waters, fine white sand, and extraordinary beauty, which is why it’s usually very crowded. It is approximately 110 metres long and 25 metres wide. It’s a perfect beach for snorkelling and diving, and also for going with your other half or children. Despite being an unspoilt Spanish beach, you’ll find helpful public toilets, and a lifeguard service.
Like many other beaches in Menorca, it’s surrounded by pine trees and vegetation. To access this Spanish beach, you’ll be able to park your car in a relatively close car park, and walk about ten minutes to get to this awesome beach, that many people already refer to as one of the best beaches in the Balearics.
This Spanish beach is approximately 2 kilometres from two other awesome beaches, Macarella and Macarelleta beaches.
With no bars or restaurants surrounding this beach, it’s highly recommendable to bring water and fruit to prevent dehydration. Every year many street vendors provide these products at almost twice the price.
Recommendations: To get a good spot on this beach, you have to get up early to be able to park more easily and enjoy a special place on this spectacular Spanish beach. Bring some fruit, water, sunscreen, cap or umbrella, and rubbish bags. In recent years, the waters of this incredible beach are losing their original clarity, because of the massive influx of visitors in boats, and people throwing waste into the water. Help us to keep this virgin natural paradise, so that your children will be able to enjoy it. Please contribute to the cause.
