Famara Beach

Famara Beach

This beach is located in the town of Teguise. Well-known among water sports lovers, this stunning beach is about 6 km long and has a width that varies considerably according to the tides. It’s visited at the end of the year by thousands of tourists from all over the world. Made of fine, toasted sand and surrounded by rocks and dunes, travellers, tourists, and locals alike take up the chance to sunbathe for hours and hours.
This urban beach is so extensive, that there’s rarely a sense of overcrowding, even if there’s a lot of people here.
Highlights: Often you can see hang gliders flying over the beach, because of the trade winds and the cliffs that surround it. When the tide rises, huge puddles appear all over its banks, which are reflected in the cliffs, with the sky acting as a natural mirror.
Services available: hotels, restaurants, parking, kitesurfing.
We recommend this beach for water sports lovers.
